I’ve posted pictures of the CommonWork farm previously here and here. I’ve only just rediscovered the photos I took on my first visit there on a card that came out of G15 and had been hidden on my desk for a few weeks.
Roy invited me down for their annual open house. They had quite a few vendors, hawking wares from the usual assortment of hippy inspired dreamcatchers, pottery and needlecrafts, quite a few local organic food makers (cheeses, cut meats, honey, dairy products, etc) and all the local environmental special interest groups. They also put out a helluva spread; for five quid I had a plate full of slow roasted lamb that was delicious. We also went on a guided tour of the renewable energy technologies, which was very enlightening even if it wasn’t as hands-on as Id’ve liked.
