Sevenoaks Wildlife Preserve 11 May 2014

We live just a few blocks from the Sevenoaks Wildlife Preserve, which was once an open pit sand and aggregate mine. Some years ago, after the mine closed, the land was allocated for wildlife recovery and the pits were allowed to fill with water. There’s a number of hiking trails that pass through the property, small farms along one edge and all kinds of wildlife and some native(ish) wildflowers.
