Yesterday, my wife and I took advantage of the Christmas day shutdown of all things English to go up to Sevenoaks and poke around while there weren’t any people about. The weather was chilly, damp with occaisonal raindrops and the lighting was flat and grey. Despite the crappy lighting, it was nice to be able to walk around and line up shots without worrying about people getting in the way.
After the major storm the day before, there were a number of broken umbrellas about. You’d think that they’dve figured out how to build a better umbrella by now; gusty winds and pelting rain have been the normal winter weather here for as long as the island has been populated.
